The Aberdeen Room Archives & Museum
Our link to the past and present
The Aberdeen Room Archives and Museum, Inc. is a non-profit organization located in the heart of Aberdeen, Maryland. Established in 1987, the Aberdeen Room receives, records, and displays historic documents, collections, and other contributed artifacts that chronicle and relate the social, economic, and cultural development of the greater Aberdeen area from its early beginnings, to the diverse community it is today.
The Aberdeen Room seeks to connect citizens to the rich history that is uniquely our own, sharing a growing collection of over 5000 original items that awaken an interest in local history and inspire new perspectives on today. The Aberdeen Room is open to the general public, welcoming visitors to research and enjoy our materials, share personal stories and memorabilia, discuss topics of interest, and ask questions. The Aberdeen Room is staffed by dedicated citizen volunteers, and funded through your generous gifts and donations.
The Aberdeen Room is affiliated with the Historical Society of Harford County and Aberdeen Appearance and Preservation Committee.
