August 15, 2012     B&O Train Station Receives Variance

The temporary roof covering on the histori B&O Train Station is part of a designed plan by The Historical Society of Harford County to protect the Station's roof in an effort to control water infiltration and further damage to the structure, as it anticipates the station's relocation a few yards north of where it stands today.  A variance application related to the Station's setback requirements was recently approved by the City of Aberdeen, Board of Appeals, so its relocation and renovation can move forward.

Charlotte Cronin and her daughter and grand-daughter were the honored guests of the Reynolds and Bulls during their two day visit on Monday and Tuesday, May 30 & 31, 2005, to Aberdeen, Maryland's sister city Aberdeen, Scotland.

Pictured left to right are: Charlotte Cronin, Lord & Lady Provost John & Helen Reynolds, Bill Cronin, and Sergeant Yvonne Johnston.

Hunter and Curator Charlotte Cronin are pictured here near the canning exhibit area. Hunter is a great - great - great grandson of C.W. Baker, prominent canning and can goods broker in Aberdeen at the turn of the last century.
